Barbeau inkwell in Limoges porcelain

Limoges porcelain inkwell decorated with blue wild-flowers and separated with fine gold ivy. These flowers, which were loved by Marie-Antoinette, are commonly called Barbeau, Cornflowers.

This inkwell is proposed with a round cap and a small porcelain bucket to drop some ink and be cleaned easily. Your dip pen can be placed horizontally on the inkwell or vertically by wedging the nib in the small hole. Unique and elegant desk decorative object a la francaise.

This exceptional piece is entirely drawn and hand-painted in France on Limoges porcelain.
